About this image:
It is a great time to visit France in the autumn! The travel brochures promise that the “summer is a distant memory with cooling temperatures and changing foliage. The vineyards of Provence transform into a blaze of gold, bronze, and red, while towns and villages celebrate the "primeur" tastings of the season’s harvest from months earlier.” But what is the most important: the tourists are mostly gone by November and you have the sightseeing places to yourself! Some of the most appealing parts of Provence are found within the triangle of Avignon, Arles and Salon-de-Provence.
Since the weather can get a bit cooler, you appreciate stopping at charming cafés for a great cappuccino and maybe Crème Brulee a la Vanille…
This picture was taken just when we were leaving one of the restaurants … their outdoor seating was empty; chairs and tables still there but abandoned for the season…
