During our Moroccan trip we visited an old Portuguese town which locals call Mogador, meaning the City of Winds; but we knew this town by the map name - Essaouira. Although the main attraction there is UNESCO heritage site Mogador Medina, we spend a lot of time strolling around the port, watching the waves smashing against the stone walls, busy fishermen and large noisy seagulls. The seagull I photographed looks very peaceful, but do not be fooled. These large powerful birds can become quite aggressive while they scavenge for a piece of fish.
