About this image:

Through my travels I never pass an opportunity to visit and photograph cemeteries, especially the very old ones. I enjoy peaceful solitude of those places and a variety of fascinating artwork; the beauty of tombstones, details of carvings, sculptures and religious symbols. I found this old Celtic cross at an Irish cemetery together with a number of other Gaelic headstones and their traditional crosses in circle. I like this one, which fell and was partially covered by dirt, moss and twigs, forgotten by everyone, but still proudly showing its intricate detail carvings of Celtic heritage.
